SUSPECT AN IMPAIRED DRIVER? CALL 911
Launched in 2007, Campaign 911 is a Canada-wide campaign to encourage and empower the Canadian public to report suspected impaired driving by calling 911.
Impaired driving is the #1 cause of criminal death in Canada and, yet, every impaired driving crash is preventable. By calling 911 and reporting suspected impaired drivers to police, all Canadians can play a role in keeping our roads safe and in reducing impaired driving crashes, deaths and injuries.
When observing a suspected impaired driver on the roads, motorists are asked to take maintain a safe distance, operate their vehicle in a safe manner, and take the following actions:
1. Call 911
2. State your location
3. Vehicle Description
a) Licence plate number of vehicle
b) Colour of vehicle
c) Make and Model of vehicle
4. Direction of Travel for the vehicle
5. Description of Driver
